CAPA members train, supervise and treat mental health professionals in eighteen Chinese cities using Distance Software. Currently, there are four 1st year classes, four 2nd year classes (each class with 10-12 students), and two classes in each of the 3rd and 4th years. The first Two Year Basic Training classes graduated in October 2010. The first Advanced Training classes graduated in October 2013. Fifty-eight students currently receive 3-5 session/week psychoanalysis. Seventy-four receive psychotherapy. Several analyses have been successfully terminated. More than 2,000 volunteers and mental health professionals were trained under CAPA auspices following the Sichuan Earthquake. Since 2009, more than twenty analysts and analytic therapists have visited China for three weeks each year, touring, lecturing, supervising, and treating.
